One Truth by Erin Trejo
We left each other in the dust. Our lives went in two different directions and there was no way to stop it. She moved on and so did I. Until a childhood friend pulls us back to our hometown. A place neither of us wants to be again. Yet, here we are. Battling our anger, our hearts, our pride. Neither wants to admit that we were wrong but seeing her now? I don’t think I want to let her go. Even if our lives are complete opposites. And that’s when I ask her for her One Truth.
